Biometric identity solutions provider Crossmatch has announced two important new appointments to its executive team. John Atkinson joins the company as Vice President of Global Enterprise Sales, while Eduardo Parodi is Crossmatch’s new Vice President of Government Sales for Europe, Africa and Latin America.
Eduardo Parodi brings with him a strong background in both security and sales. Having served in the military and spent eight years in law enforcement before getting started in the private sector as a security integrator, Parodi proceeded to work in sales with foreign governments. John Atkinson, meanwhile, has worked for many years in sales in the areas of enterprise software and IT solutions, and most recently worked as Widepoint’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, leading a projects involving enterprise mobility management and a government-focused, cloud-based IDaaS solution.
Commenting on their appointments in a statement, Crossmatch CEO Richard Agostinelli called them “critical appointments” that “are consistent with the direction and growth plans that Crossmatch is undertaking with a strong focus towards solving both US & international identity management challenges, as well as commercial and government IT security issues.”
Indeed, Crossmatch is already providing biometric identity solutions to help European authorities manage their ongoing refugee crisis, and Parodi’s strong background in security and government sales could help to drive further growth in this area; while Atkinson could leverage his expertise to further drive the company’s momentum in enterprise solutions. These new VPs could prove instrumental in pushing Crossmatch further into the growing global biometrics market.
