IDEMIA is introducing a new incubator program to help Augmented Identity startups develop and launch new products. The iCube incubator is based in India, and will offer multiple tracks to startups at different stages of development.
In that regard, the Startup Assistance Program is a credit system that gives eligible startups access to APIs, SDKs, and other technologies from IDEMIA and its partners. IDEMIA will also be offering a three-month Accelerator Program that prepares startups for the commercial market.
The Developer Program will give select startups the opportunity to collaborate directly with IDEMIA’s technology and business teams as the work to create new Augmented Identity products. Finally, the Scale Fast-Track Program is intended for startups that have reached the final stages of commercialization, and will give them access to IDEMIA’s global customer base.
IDEMIA is hoping that iCube will lead to the creation of innovative new Augmented Identity products and accelerate their development timelines.
“The iCube Innovation and Incubation program will help build compelling solutions for a safer and better world,” said IDEMIA India Managing Director Sanjeev Shriya. “This program is designed to assist startups by providing them access to our expertise and technology. It aims to speed up their product development and help them get to market faster.”
Some of the companies in the iCube incubator will receive office space at IDEMIA’s facility in Noida, India. IDEMIA itself has teamed up with Lumis Partners Supply Chain Labs and Freshworks in an effort to find startups that may be a good fit for the program. It will also host talks and sessions with engineers and industry experts for the benefit of the startups.
The news comes shortly after IDEMIA announced that its new Tokyo headquarters would include a public-facing experience center. The company’s new VisionPass facial recognition terminal recently placed first in the Biometrics category at the SIA New Product Showcase Awards.
