“The use of facial recognition, live streaming, and video analytics will improve the quality of information in emergency control rooms, allowing operators to make better decisions when responding to a critical situation in real time…”
Digital Barriers has formed a strategic partnership with Capita Secure Solutions, a logistics specialist that provides control room solutions for emergency services and critical infrastructure organizations. The partnership will allow Capita to deploy the full slate of Digital Barriers technology, including live-streaming body cameras equipped with facial recognition.
The use of facial recognition, live streaming, and video analytics will improve the quality of information in emergency control rooms, allowing operators to make better decisions when responding to a critical situation in real time. The Digital Barriers technology will also help with the collection of digital evidence.
“There is strong demand from law enforcement for technological advancements that promote officer safety and efficiency,” said Digital Barriers CEO Zak Doffman. “We look forward to working in close collaboration to further accelerate our international growth.”
Digital Barriers has been focusing on the law enforcement and emergency space for several years. The company’s facial recognition technology has been leveraged to help find missing persons, and has also been integrated into police body cams and squad car dash cams.
Digital Barriers and Capita will engage in joint promotion as part of the partnership, with Digital Barriers pushing Capita’s ControlWorks and VisionDS solutions through its own platforms and Capita offering the Digital Barriers portfolio to the rest of its network.
