Identity verification services provider Acuant has announced a partnership with global payment services provider Ceevo Group to provide a streamlined customer onboarding process and immediate ID proofing.
Acuant’s Trusted Identity Platform — which is what Ceevo will be using — is supported on iOS and Android, as well as HTML, and is deployable on smart devices, desktops and kiosks. This will allow Ceevo to give its customers the option to interact on any channel — or cross-channel — to complete multi-factor authentication.
“We believe everyone should benefit from the speed at which money, the global economy, and society is changing. But in order to do that, we needed a way to quickly and seamlessly onboard customers, and accurately verify their identity,” said Philip Meyer, Ceevo Group CEO.
The ability to authenticate customers on mobile has become increasingly more critical as of late, as the world is coming to terms with ‘social distancing’ as a way of slowing the spread of COVID-19, a virus that has now claimed more than 10,000 lives globally and has led to people across the world from a variety of industries to work from home.
“The digital revolution has changed the way people work. Like Ceevo, Acuant’s mission is to help businesses stay ahead of changing consumer demands, so they can focus on their business,” said Yossi Zekri, President and CEO of Acuant. “This is all the more important in our current global crisis, where businesses and consumers must build trust from a distance.”
Biometric facial recognition via Acuant FaceID now offers Advanced Passive Liveness across all digital channels, allowing Ceevo to verify customer identity via desktop or on mobile devices.
