Fresh off its rebranding, BioConnect plans to showcase a new biometric time and attendance solution at this year’s ISC West security conference.
Called BioConnect Teamworks, it’s a cloud-based HR solution that will use biometrics including fingerprint scanning to accurately track employee attendance. It’s designed for businesses having up to a hundred locations, and it also offers payroll, vacation, and sick day administration capabilities. Moreover, as a cloud-based solution it enables access via any device that can connect to the web.
In a statement announcing the solution, BioConnect emphasized its capability to deliver greater administrative efficacy and efficiency, with CEO Rob Douglass pointing out that “[o]rganizations that manually track time often struggle with similar processes to track employee absences.”
Indeed, biometric time and attendance tracking appears to be increasingly popular, turning up in a diverse range of settings, from a Caribou Coffee chain in the United Arab Emirates to a major sugar mill operation in El Salvador. BioConnect’s cloud-based solution should help the technology to further proliferate and become even more mainstream.
