Aware will have a major presence at this year’s Identity Week London event. Representatives from the company will address pressing digital identity issues during two panel discussions, and will also be showcasing Aware’s Knomi biometric authentication offering.
Identity Week 2020 will be a virtual event, and will run from November 16-18. Aware Chief Commercial Officer Rob Mungovan will be one of the panelists for the Fighting the Fakes breakout session, which is scheduled for November 18 at 8:55 a.m. local time (or 4:55 a.m. EST). The panelists will discuss threats to biometric security, and explain how liveness detection technology can help thwart deepfake attacks and other forms of spoofing.
After that, Aware International Sales Director Kai Imgenberg will moderate the Face Plus Voice roundtable discussion, which will kick off at 1:20 p.m. local time (9:20 a.m. EST) later that same day. The session will explain that systems that combine multiple forms of authentication – such as face and voice recognition – are stronger and more accurate than those that rely on a single biometric modality.
Mungovan will also present an overview of Aware’s Knomi platform. Knomi is a passwordless authentication solution that identifies users with face and voice biometrics, and bolsters that with passive liveness technology that has now received iBeta Level 2 certification.
“The identity and biometrics industries are increasingly seeing biometric data, whether obtained directly or through hacked systems, being used to create fakes and spoofs,” said Mungovan. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to participate in this year’s virtual event with like-minded individuals striving to increase security in today’s evolving landscape.”
Identity Week London consists of separate event tracks, each of which focuses on the concept of identity in some capacity. Aware recently partnered with Gateway Investor Relations in an effort to refine its communications strategy when approaching potential stakeholders.
