Today, NEC Corporation of America announced the appointment of Kevin Hooper as executive vice president. Having been with the company since November 2012, Hooper will lead NEC’s Enterprise business.
“I am excited to take on this expanded role and continue to strengthen the value we deliver to customers every day,” said Hooper, who prior to this has been credited with delivering high-powered solutions and driving growth in cloud services, big data analytics, biometrics and other strategic markets.
Prior to his time with NEC, Hooper accumulated over 20 years of experience in business development and sales, having worked with IBM and Hewlett Packard. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from University of Sussex as well as a Masters of Science in Engineering and operations Research from University of Massachusetts.
Shinsuke Takahashi, president and CEO of NEC Corporation of America, comments on the appointment saying, “Kevin’s leadership experience coupled with his technology solution expertise represent a powerful combination that will help strengthen the cross collaboration across our businesses and operations and further enhance our customer focus at all touch points.”
