Multimodal biometrics specialist BioConnect has been evangelizing about the benefits of biometric security to protect against fiascos like the Equifax breach, and its top executives are taking their message on the road as they attend multiple industry events in North America.
The Toronto-based company is kicking things off at Sibos 2017 in its hometown, where Chief Identity Officer Bianca Lopes is participating in a panel discussion on “Identity Theft 3.0”, and the company showcasing its BioConnect ID platform at the Sibos Canada Lounge FinTech Corner. Then, on October 17th, BioConnect CEO Rob Douglas will present BioConnect’s story as part of the Top 20 Live Showcase for the CIX Canadian Innovation Exchange, also in Toronto.
After that, Douglas is off to Money20/20 in Las Vegas, where he will join other industry leaders including Daon’s Conor White, EyeVerify’s Toby Rush, and the GSMA’s David Pollinton in a discussion on biometric FinTech, hosted by FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill. Entitled “Biometric FinTech in the Real World,” the discussion is slated for Monday, October 22nd, from 10:40am to 11:30am, and should prove to be one of Money20/20’s major draws, if the success of last year’s biometrics panel offers any indication.
BioConnect will also be showing off its platform from its booth throughout Money20/20, and is offering visitors the chance to get exclusive access to its developer portal. And given the growing enthusiasm around biometric security in the wake of hacking scandals like the recent Equifax fiasco, the company may find a lot of interest from visitors who want to take up the offer.
