On Tuesday, voice biometrics leader AGNITIO announced that its newest forensic speaker verification system AGNITIO BATVOX 4.0 was immediately available. Currently in use by upwards of 50 police departments across more than 35 countries, BATVOX is the most widely used technology of its kind.
The new BATVOX 4.0 boasts universal flexibility and a highly accessible, easy to use interface made possible by incorporating AGNITIO’s 4G advanced biometric technology. The higher accuracy offered by the 4G solution, thanks to new algorithms that lead to more precise calculations, is not only faster and easier to use, but will also lead to lower case rejections rates, proving a great boon to law enforcement once BATVOX’s evidence hits the courtroom.
The National Center for Media Forensics at the University of Colorado Denver has been using AGNITIO BATAVOX for years, and attributes a number of completed forensics cases to the technology. Catalin Grigoras, the center’s director, confirms: “We have now tested the 4.0 version of AGNITIO BATVOX and are able to obtain accurate results much faster, as well as apply the system to an even broader set of cases.”
