BioConnect is, of course, a popular biometric identity management system with a range of potential applications. It was recently integrated into AXIS Communications’ signature access control platform, and has also seen high-profile deployments with companies like Honeywell, which paired up BioConnect with its own Pro-Watch security management suite. Now, Actual iD is clearly seeing its advantages.
Actual iD’s cloud-based time and attendance tracking platform is aimed at helping businesses to dramatically reduce the administrative costs of time and attendance tracking while also making that process more accurate and efficient. To that end, it incorporates finger scanning time clocks. BioConnect’s crucial role will be to provide a means of managing those biometric templates.
In a press release, Actual iD President Jeff Crews praised BioConnect’s “advanced template management capability,” which he said “allows the simple management of biometric templates across multiple locations and devices.” He added that Actual iD’s goal is to offer “a simple-to-use application that is based on users’ true identity,” and concluded that “BioConnect is the key ingredient to realize that goal.”
