Finland-based MePIN/Meontrust Inc. is going to show off an upgraded version of its Mobile Connect Smartphone App Authenticator at next week’s Mobile World Congress, the company has announced.
Available for iOS and Android, the app is designed to offer easy Mobile Connect integration, allowing MNOs to leverage MePIN’s mobile user enrollment and authentication capabilities with their own branding dynamically integrated into the app. It supports fingerprint scanning and was just upgraded with facial recognition as well, which should attract some attention among an MWC crowd growing increasingly interested in biometric authentication.
With the system having been recently deployed in the Canadian Mobile Connect pilot project spearheaded by Enstream LP, which was nominated for a Glomo Award in the “Authentication and Identity” category, MePIN appears to be enjoying a rising profile, which should only be further elevated as the system is showcased at MWC.
MePIN/Meontrust will showcase the solution at MWC from the company’s stand in Finland Pavilion Hall 5, and from HPE’s stand in Hall 3 and GSMA Innovation City Hall 4.
