Healthcare IT solutions provider Imprivata plans to show off its lineup at this year’s Cerner Health Conference. The conference runs from October 11th to 14th in Kansas City.
Among the offerings to be showcased is Imprivata PatientSecure, the company’s recently-launched biometric patient identification platform. PatientSecure uses palm vein biometrics to identify patients and link them to their medical records; having originally been developed by HT Systems, which Imprivata acquired earlier this year, the system is already in use in hundreds of hospitals.
The company also plans to show off its Hands Free Authentication system, which uses wirelessly transmitted one-time passwords (OTPs) to leverage a user’s mobile device for passive, two-factor authentication. The company has designed Hands Free Authentication to integrate with its Imprivata Confirm ID EPCS solution, allowing for what Imprivata calls “a seamless e-prescribing workflow”.
Imprivata also plans to show off a new secure messaging platform called Imprivata Cortext, and will have a couple of high-profile client speakers attest to the benefits of the company’s solutions, including representatives from WCA Hospital in New York and Methodist Health System in Nebraska.
