New Huawei, Xiaomi Phones Feature FPC Sensors

Fingerprint Cards is celebrating two new fingerprint sensor integrations to kick off the new year. Huawei’s new Honor 6X features an FPC1025 sensor, while Xiaomi’s newest white Mi Mix smartphone features an FPC1235.New Huawei, Xiaomi Phones Feature FPC Sensors

Both companies are longstanding, repeat FPC clients. Xiaomi actually became the first mobile OEM to integrate an FPC1235 sensor last autumn with its original Mi Mix device. Huawei, meanwhile, recently found itself at the cutting edge of mobile biometrics when it integrated FPC’s under-glass FPC1268 sensor into its Honor Magic device.

The integrations represent a propitious start to the year for FPC, signalling continuing success for the company in the mobile biometrics market. Meanwhile, FPC is looking to expand into new areas, having recently announced a solution that would bring its sensors to PCs.
