Fingerprint Cards has named its nomination committee ahead of its upcoming Annual General Meeting for 2017. The group will consist of Dimitrij Titov, who will act as Chairman; Tommy Trollborg; and Johan Carlström, who left his position as FPC’s Business Developer last month but remains an active shareholder.
The upcoming meeting will likely have a lot of business on the table, given FPC’s remarkable year so far. The company just announced its Q3 results, which detailed continuing growth, with revenues up 224 percent for the first three quarters of the year compared to the same period in 2015.
While much of that success can be attributed to its operations in the mobile biometrics market, FPC has lately sought to expand into new areas including automotive and smart card applications of its fingerprint biometric technology. Most recently, in his comments on the quarterly results the company’s new CEO Christian Fredrikson suggested that personal computers offer “an obvious opportunity in the near future” for FPC’s technology, which could yield some interesting results soon as Apple proceeds with its first laptop to feature a fingerprint scanner and other companies seek to emulate its approach.
FPC’s last AGM was on May 4th of this year.
