“…CES 2017 drew 3,800 exhibitors and 175,000 tech professionals from around the world.”
The 2017 Consumer Electronics Show is a wrap, and it looks to have been quite a successful one.
According to organizers with the Consumer Technology Association, CES 2017 drew 3,800 exhibitors and 175,000 tech professionals from around the world. And it was “a coming out party for the future of 5G”, in the words of Qualcomm Life VP Dr. Jim Mault, with the CTA asserting that such technology “will revolutionize our connected world, and the entire connected ecosystem came together at CES 2017.”
Devices are also connecting with users in new ways, with biometric technology having made another strong showing at this year’s event. CES 2017 saw biometric technology finding its way into more outlets in everyday life, from biometric smart cards to fingerprint-scanning padlocks to smart car systems that use biometrics for access control and to customize car settings.
It all points to a more connected future, with increasing numbers and kinds of devices going online and networking with each other, and user interacting with their devices in new and more secure ways.
