Daon Acquires Physical Security Interconnect (PSI) Offering from Enterprise Air

Award-winning biometrics platform enhanced by physical access control-related acquisition

Reston, VA – Daon, a leading provider of identity assurance software announced today the acquisition of software assets and associated personnel for physical security interconnectivity from Enterprise Air, a New York-based provider of solutions for the physical security market.

The acquired software connects customers’ physical security systems to any central command or administrative system. Much like Daon’s other products, the security interface engine is vendor-agnostic and designed to be compatible with the broadest possible set of security systems, including GE, Hirsch, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Lenel, MDI, SoftwareHouse and many others.

The acquisition adds to Daon’s current platform new capabilities that include:

• Credential connect – software for distributing identity data from central repositories down to local facility access control systems

• PKI-enabled PACS – applications for infusing new Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security data into legacy physical access control systems

• Card Harvester – applications for managing and extracting data from smart cards and provisioning to local physical access control systems

According to Daon’s CEO, Tom Grissen, “This acquisition adds an important capability to our COTS product portfolio. It is a logical next step for Daon as we continue to offer COTS solutions that allow our partners and customers to dramatically simplify their efforts to secure their enterprise while saving both time and money.”
