Your Voice is unique. AGNITIO’s Speaker Recognition Engine is able to filter from the voice those unique characteristics that the vocal tract imprints in your voice’s sound waves. We extract the Voice ID and by doing so we can enable multiple solutions to identify who is speaking. Our partners use AGNITIO’s Voice ID engines to authenticate customers, identify fraudsters and provide a strong yet simple way to verify identity in multiple applications. AGNITIO’s Voice ID technology and products are protected by a family of patents that grows every year.

AGNITIO was founded in 2004 as a spin-off from a leading university research group conducting speaker recognition research since 1994. AGNITIO has worked closely with police organizations around the world. The first technology renditions were co-developments with some of the world’s most reputable police forces. AGNITIO’s strong background in government forensics paved the way for the company to launch KIVOX, a Voice ID product family targeted at the corporate sector. Financial services, telecommunications, utilities and other sectors are implementing new security solutions based on Voice Biometrics.

AGNITIO’s team is formed by world class experts in speaker recognition technologies, security IT products and marketing and experienced sales executives. AGNITIO’s team collaborates with universities, research institutes and business partners from all over the world.

AGNITIO is a private company funded by two VC groups: Nauta Capital and Elaia Partners. AGNITIO headquarters are in Madrid (Spain). AGNITIO Corp. is the US subsidiary, leading business development in USA and Canada with offices in Arlington VA and Palo Alto CA.

Leadership

AGNITIO’s work culture and management is a fine blend of the best practices from all over the world. Our management team comprises leaders from eight different nationalities. With an in house team of experts in Voice Biometrics technologies, security related IT, products and marketing and sales, AGNITIO is poised to make an impact in commercial as well as government sector. AGNITIO’s team collaborates with universities, research institutes and business partners from all over the world to come up with innovations in voice identification technology.

Emilio Martinez – CEO

Emilio Martinez founded Agnitio in 2004 with four partners and is currently CEO and Chairman of the board. From 2000 to 2004, he held executive positions in several technology start-ups, such as Viaplus-Tech, a technology Web Portal, and AIA, a company offering unique security solutions based on proprietary Artificial Intelligence algorithms. From 1991 to 2000, Martinez worked in Lucent Technologies Microelectronics, leading engineering and research teams, such as the Interconnect Group in Bell Labs (Murray Hill, USA). Martinez holds a PhD in Physics from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, where he was assistant professor (1978-1988).

Javier Castano – COO and CFO

Javier Castaño was one of the founding partners of Agnitio in 2004. He currently manages the Operations in Agnitio as Chief Operating Officer. During 2002 and 2003 he was head of the engineer department at BP Solar plant in Tres Cantos, Madrid. From 1986 to 2001, Castaño worked in Lucent Technologies Microelectronics. He spent two years at Bell Labs R&D groups, both in the USA and Spain and ended managing the Test, Technology and Yield Improvement department in the Tres Cantos plant. Castaño holds a MS in Electrical Engineering (Ingeniero superior de Telecomunicación) from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a PDG from IESE.

Luis Buera – Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Luis Buera, Chief Technology Officer for AGNITIO, leads the research and innovation group that collaborates with third party research entities and manages the growing AGNITIO patent portfolio. His research career began at Toshiba Europe Ltd. in Cambrige UK in 2008 spending over 10 yearswith speech technologies organizations prior to joining AGNITIO. Luis received his Bachelor’s and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunication engineering, from the Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain. He also holds a Master in Innovation and research management from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

E.Christian Moreno – Vice President of Worldwide Sales

E.Christian Moreno is Vice President of Worldwide Sales for AGNITIO. In this role, Christian leads the company’s sales activities across its government, law enforcement and commercial businesses. Christian has over 20 years’ experience across a number of international telecom and mobile companies including Ericsson, Tecnotree and Comverse as well as mobile application giants such as Ubisoft and Jamdat/Electronics Arts. Christian Moreno holds a M.Sc Electrical Engineering (Ingeniero Superior de Telecomunicaciones) from the Universidad Politecnica of Madrid as well as a Master in Telecommunications from FYCSA (ALCATEL). He also holds an executive MBA from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.

Antonio Moreno – Senior Vice President for Product Management

Antonio Moreno is Senior Vice President for Product Management at AGNITIO. Antonio has been working in AGNITIO from the inception of the company and he is responsible for the Strategy and Roadmap planning of the AGNITIO’s products portfolio. He is also leading the management and support of all technical customer related activities in the company. He has more than 10 years of experience driving and supporting real Voice Biometrics deployments with customers all over the world both in the Defense and the Commercial sector and he is a well-known expert on Forensic Speaker Recognition, having participated in many workshops and conferences all over the world. Prior to AGNITIO, Antonio worked in Telefónica I+D, the R&D division of Telefónica, the major telecommunications provider in Spain. He holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

Niko Brümmer – Chief Scientist

Niko Brümmer is one of the world most respected scientist in the field of Speaker recognition. He has participated in all NIST Speaker and language Recognition Evaluations since 2000. His contributions on application-independent evaluation of systems have been adopted by NIST in Speaker and Languare recognition evaluations since 2006. He received a M. Eng. and a Ph. D. degree from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Since 1990, he worked with Spescom DataVoice, and in 2008 he joined AGNITiO as Chief scientist, developing the current technology of AGNITiO. His research interests include speaker and language recognition and the evaluation and improvement of pattern recognition and machine-learning technologies. He has co-chaired Odyssey 2008, the ISCA Speaker and Language Recognition Workshop.
